GIDLEY PREPARES FOR CONFERENCE

Local MP Sandra Gidley, along with Liberal Democrats from across Hampshire, is preparing to head to Bournemouth for the party's annual autumn conference, which is taking place from the 13 - 17 September.

Commenting ahead of the Conference Sandra said:

"We are all looking forward to this conference and to voting in important policy debates on taxation, transport and health to name a few.

"I hope to speak in support of our proposals on mental health which is one of the biggest issues facing society today. For too long mental health has been a 'Cinderella' service. Liberal Democrats want mental healthcare to be a core health service priority and not a neglected afterthought."

The Liberal Democrats hold two national conferences a year, the first in March and the main one in September. Sandra will be available throughout the conference for interviews and comments.
